Mayo Clinic Experience

Today was my last day at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. I spent 6 days in Rochester and 1 day in Minneapolis. The Mayo Clinic is a wonderful place full of kind hearted, dedicated, and hardworking doctors and staff. They are organized and have a good system. It’s a huge place but the environment is pleasant. I didn’t feel like just a number or another person. They listened to me intently, took notes, and overall made me feel like they wanted to help. I went in with the goal to better my quality of life and find new/different ways to fix my body. It’s been an emotional, stressful, and overwhelming journey at times but I’ve learned things I didn’t know before, gained valuable insight, received new tips, medications, and natural remedies to try. I got a new diagnosis, removed a diagnosis, had 17 vials of blood drawn, a plethora of exams and tests, and had a small procedure. I’m still struggling health wise, I have a long way to go, but I’m more hopeful than I was before with the new insight and approaches. I have a new and improved plan. I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to go to the Mayo Clinic again if need be. Rochester was good to me.
