Self love Monday!

It’s SELF LOVE MONDAY!

“One of the beautiful things about being human is the ability to feel a range of emotions”

It’s been a rollercoaster of a month so far which started the last couple weeks of last month. It’s been difficult to keep my head above water but I’m grateful to God for his encouragement to my soul, my friends who checked on me, and my church family who prayed with me. I haven’t been sleeping much as well. The crazy ride isn’t over and it feels like it’s just one thing hitting me after another but I am still here. I am grateful for life. When I’ve done all o can do, I will continue to stand. I’m thankful for those in my life helping me to stand when I just want to save my white flag. It’s during times like these, leaning on your support system is so important.

Self Love Monday- Finish Line

It’s not about how many times you get to the finish line, what’s important is that you get there. Sometimes we can be so hard on ourselves! We have many things pulling at us…family, school, work, financial responsibilities, friends, jobs, church, volunteering…the list goes on. I know that I am very hard on myself. I hold myself to a high standard and strive for excellence in all that I set my mind to do. However, with a chronic illness, it can be hard to get things done or see your progress. Even if you don’t have a chronic illness, keeping your head above water can be very tough in life sometimes! I have to keep reminding myself that I don’t have to reach my goals faster than anyone else because they’re MY goals, I just have to reach them. To me, patience is the hardest virtue. Love yourself enough to not hold yourself to impossible standards, to give yourself a break when you need it, and to push yourself when you know you can do more.

💜Be kind to yourself today💜

Self Love Monday- Sometimes You Just Have To Encourage Yourself

It’s SELF LOVE MONDAY!!!

🌻 It can be helpful to place scriptures and positive affirmations around you to encourage you throughout your day. I have scriptures and positive affirmations all around my desk at work. I am disciplining myself to look at these things when I’m starting to feel discouraged, sad, or what have you. Placing positive reminders around yourself is one way to show yourself love and to encourage yourself for those times when you don’t feel like you can. My lips are still irritated and have a burning sensation. My lips are also still cut open on the sides so open mouth smiling hurts because it re-rips open the cuts. Practicing my close mouth smile 😊 I’m pressing through. God has it all under control. He made the whole universe, surely he can take care of me.

Tell yourself today…

1) Have Faith

2) Pray and Be Fierce About It

3) Everything Is Going To Be OK

4) Have A Colorful Day!

Self Love Monday- Love Yourself

IT’S SELF LOVE MONDAY!

🌻

“Don’t wait for others to come and love you, love yourself”

🌻

Validation is something most people seek and need. Especially when we’re not confident or struggling with the hard situations life deals out(difficult relationship, sickness etc). You want to feel like someone cares, you want to feel love, you want to feel accepted, you want to feel like you’re doing things right. Sometimes, people will never love or validate you and you may spend so much time chasing that feeling or those words. But, people’s acceptance and love isn’t going to be enough if you don’t start loving and accepting yourself. God loves you unconditionally, he loves you, he’s already validated you, remember that. You are worth love. You are worth all that God has given you and created you to be. We are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus who loves us and has called us according to his purpose. Speak a little more kindly to yourself, today.

Self Love Monday- Shine Your Light

IT’S SELF LOVE MONDAY! 🌻 “Ain’t nobody stealing my shine, not even me.”

Do you steal your own shine, dim your own light sometimes? This can happen when you’re too hard on yourself, push yourself too far, forget your self care, forget to give yourself some extra love. 🌻Last week I found it incredibly hard to stay positive because it seemed that many things were coming against me. I was having a really bad autoimmune flare up that had been going on for a couple weeks. I was in pain, I was sad, I was discouraged. 🌻It didn’t seem like it was getting better and I didn’t see a light at the end of the tunnel when I would feel relatively better again. I was drained. I found that I was smiling at those around me, trying to be genuine, and pushing through the things I needed to do but ignoring most of my self care. 🌻I crashed energy wise and struggled throughout the weekend. Sunday when I went to church, God reminded me that I can’t just keep pushing myself when my body is telling me to take some time. I have to shine within myself, I can’t dim my own light because then I don’t have anything to give. I want to project God to those around me, project light to those around me and I can’t truly shine if my own internal light is dim. 🌻God keeps speaking the word “perspective” to me. It’s very hard in the storm to remain hopeful but that is what I must do! God is my light and my salvation of whom shall I be afraid? Not this autoimmune disease. God is my hope. I can’t lose sight of that. I have many things to be thankful for and I am happy God has blessed me with those who encourage me and stick with me through my dark moments. 🌻Take moments to care for yourself, let others know how you’re feeling, and know your limitations. Limitations don’t always have to hold you back, they can become your strength. Part of life is about navigating through the storms and I want God to lead me where he wants me to go. I am learning to trust and let go.

Self Love Monday- Change Your Words

IT’S SELF LOVE MONDAY!!

“Overcomer, more than a conqueror, I’m winner, the joy of the Lord is my strength” 🎶🎶🎶

It’s so important to speak words of life into yourself. How can you ever truly love and appreciate yourself if you don’t speak kindly to your own self? Words do matter. They influence how you view yourself. Changing your mindset and changing the way you speak to yourself is so important to self love.

💜

Practice speaking kind words to yourself, positive affirmations, and scriptures to remind yourself that you have so much to offer and remind yourself to reject the negative. Those kind words forwards yourself will translate into positive thoughts.

💜

Practice makes perfect! You must make an effort to have positive thoughts and words. This is an area I struggle in but I would like to get so much better. Life and death is in the power of the tongue.
